Oklahoma,

We're back in DC this week advancing President Donald J. Trump's agenda, holding committee hearings with Cabinet secretaries, and passing my legislation to roll back some of Joe Biden's worst regulations. Importantly, this week, the House Republicans passed 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' to Make America Great Again. Now, that legislation come to the Senate. This is a huge step forward for our nation.

On Thursday, the GOP Senate has successfully passed my resolution to stop California from trying to impose Green New Scam policies on the rest of America. Under the Biden regime, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hit heavy-duty highway and off-road vehicles and engines with expensive and ridiculous compliance costs estimated at upwards of $20,000 per truck. This regulation made it more difficult for small fleets and independent operators to invest in new equipment. I will never allow California’s costly and extreme Green New Deal agenda to bankrupt families and eliminate consumer choice for hundreds of millions of American families.

On Tuesday, I questioned Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee hearing on his agenda to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in his department. While the HHS budget skyrocketed by 38% in the last administration, America got nothing positive in return. Instead, our country has the worst chronic health crisis and the unhealthiest, sickest population on the globe. Only in American government do we think throwing money at the problem will eventually fix it. I applaud Secretary Kennedy's efforts to Make America Healthy Again at a fraction of the cost.

Normally we do a ‘Weekly Wrap Up’ on Friday, but we’re still hard at work in Washington today visiting with President Trump at the White House. We’ll be discussing MAGA priorities and updates from Oklahoma, but we’ll also be there for a more personal reason.

A family reached out to me on behalf of their child who is bravely battling cancer. This child’s Make-A-Wish dream is to receive a West Wing tour of the White House. When I told the President this, he insisted we all come to the White House and personally visit with him in the Oval Office. We have a president who doesn't just ‘love the people, love the call,’ we have someone who dedicates everything to this country.

On Tuesday, I introduced the Black Vulture Relief Act to allow farmers and ranchers to protect their livestock when threatened by predatory animals without big government interference. This legislation removes the requirement for a depredation permit, giving farmers and ranchers the chance to eliminate black vultures anytime these birds threaten their livestock. Oklahomans deserve the right to do what is necessary to protect their livestock and reduce economic hardship. It’s vital to the livelihood of ranchers nationwide that we get this fixed. As a ranch owner who knows both the heartbreak and hard work it takes to keep a herd alive, I'll always stand with farmers and ranchers to preserve their way of life.

On Wednesday, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum appeared before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies. I used my time of questioning to speak with him on an issue that has been impacting Oklahoma for far too long, the Supreme Court's McGirt decision. The McGirt decision has put law enforcement and law and order under a heavy strain in our state. It’ll take a full effort to get this sorted out, but Secretary Burgum has committed to helping us work through this complex challenge.

On Monday, I joined Fox News's Will Cain on The Will Cain Show live from the Pentagon to discuss the cover-up of President Biden's health decline and President Trump bringing Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table to end the war in Ukraine. Though they are two pretty different topics, they both have one thing in common. Since Inauguration Day, we have gone from an absence of leadership to the return of 'Peace Through Strength' policies. We're putting an end to forever wars and we're fortunate to have a president who's in constant communication with his cabinet.
