Victory in Pennsylvania
Big wins out of Pennsylvania this week! Most of our candidates advanced to the general election, and one made history in the process. Erica Deuso won her primary and is now the Democratic nominee for mayor of Downingtown. Erica is strongly favored to win in November, which would make her the first out trans mayor in Pennsylvania history!

Mark Your Calendars: Texas Runoffs Are Coming
Texas voters head to the polls on June 7 for critical runoff elections, and three LGBTQ+ Victory Fund–endorsed candidates are on the ballot! Early voting runs from May 27 to June 3. These races are pivotal for LGBTQ+ representation in Texas, let’s help push them over the finish line!
In San Antonio, Gina Ortiz Jones, former U.S. Under Secretary of the Air Force and a Victory Fund Spotlight candidate, is vying to become the city's first out LGBTQ+ mayor. And she’s been busy – she’s hosting a GOTV event with out LGBTQ+ City Councilmember Jalen McKee-Rodriquez, joined Univision 41 San Antonio for a debate, and is still working hard on the campaign trail!
In Brownsville, Roy De los Santos is competing for the At-Large "B" City Commission seat, aiming to continue his public service.
Meanwhile, Salvador Serrano is in a runoff for Position 3 on the San Jacinto College Board of Trustees. He shared a new endorsement from the AFL-CIO!
Daniel Hernandez Launches His Latest Campaign Ad!
Daniel Hernandez is running in the July 15 special Democratic primary for Arizona’s 7th Congressional District, aiming to succeed the late Rep. Raúl Grijalva. A former state legislator and co-founder of Arizona’s LGBTQ Caucus, Daniel is getting ready for his first debate and secured a key endorsement from HONOR PAC, an organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ+ Latino candidates nationwide!
If elected, Hernandez would bring his experience as a public health advocate and his commitment to LGBTQ+ representation to Congress.
Chris Pappas is Hard at Work in New Hampshire
Chris Pappas is working hard to make history again with his 2026 U.S. Senate bid!
Chris has been actively engaging with voters, holding town halls across the state, including a well-attended event in Exeter. He recently launched a new campaign ad emphasizing his commitment to standing up to political extremism and advocating for working families. His campaign has garnered key endorsements, notably from U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan and New Hampshire union members, bolstering his position in the race.
In a recent interview with The Advocate, Chris discussed his historic campaign and addressed his vote on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which included a controversial provision limiting certain gender-affirming care. He expressed his concerns about the provision and urged the Senate to remove it, highlighting the importance of supporting both military families and LGBTQ+ rights.
