Friend,
Every day, people — immigrants, workers, young people — power our country.
While greedy power-hungry billionaires take and hoard the wealth our work creates, we know that it’s the care and love that we show ourselves, our family, and our neighbors that truly powers our communities.
It’s the farm workers who power our country by making sure we can put food on the table.
It’s the construction workers who power our country by making sure we have safe roads and bridges to drive on.
It’s the teachers who power our country by making sure our students have the freedom to learn and feel safe in schools.
It’s everyday working people, including immigrant workers, who power our communities. Right now, immigrant people are facing violent oppression, with the rise in abductions and disappearances of our loved ones. Yet, we still show up day in and day out to power our communities.
We want to hear from YOU!
How have you seen immigrants power your community?
You can head over to UWD’s TikTok and either stitch or comment on our latest
