The House passed a budget reconciliation bill that has the biggest cuts to Medicaid in history. The bill also has new rules that would stop Medicaid and some other kinds of insurance from paying for gender affirming care.

Now, we need to tell the Senate to take these Medicaid cuts out of their version of the budget reconciliation bill. To learn more about Medicaid, the budget process, and all the most recent updates, read our full plain language guide about Medicaid in the budget. [[link removed]]

Republican Senators who are not sure about Medicaid cuts need to hear from their constituents. We need everyone to tell their Senators that we do not want cuts to Medicaid. We may only have the next three weeks to talk to Senators before the vote. We need to tell them to take Medicaid cuts out of the budget reconciliation bill. We need to tell Senators right now: No cuts to Medicaid.

After the budget reconciliation bill passes the Senate, the House needs to vote on the bill again. Some Representatives who voted for the budget reconciliation bill do not like that the bill would make cuts to Medicaid. We need to tell Representatives:

* We are upset Representatives passed a budget reconciliation bill with cuts to Medicaid.
* We do not want Representatives to vote “yes” on a bill that has cuts to Medicaid. If the bill has Medicaid cuts, they should vote “no” for the budget reconciliation bill.

We need to call Representatives and Senators and tell them to vote NO on a budget reconciliation bill that has cuts to Medicaid.
