Friend, the Supreme Court just ruled that civil rights law protects LGBTQ workers!
This ruling protects LGBTQ people from workplace discrimination and is a huge win for the LGBTQ equality movement.
As a gay man, I know the stresses that come from simply being who I am and trying to access and navigate public spaces. While this win is so important to protect LGBTQ workers, we still have much to do if we are to reach equality.
That's why I support the Equality Act — to fully protect LGBTQ people by providing consistent and explicit non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people across key areas of life, including employment, housing, education, public spaces and services, and federally funded programs.
I’m running to fight for bold solutions like the Equality Act in Congress. But I need your help to get there. We are just three short months from our primary election. Can you chip in right now to power our movement for equality?

The Equality Act is more important than ever. Just three days ago the Trump administration finalized a regulation to strip the Affordable Care Act of its protections for transgender people. In addition, the new regulation poses a threat to all people trying to access healthcare who may not conform to social gender norms.
This attack on LGBTQ rights during a pandemic and during Pride Month is purposeful. This is an attempt to roll back decades of hard-won protections for LGBTQ people.
This is also a symptom of not having diverse representation of the American people in our government.
Our movement needs your support today to continue fighting for more representative voices in our government. We are so close to hitting our mid-month goal of raising $4,000. Can you chip in now to get us there?
Thank you for being a part of our movement, friend. Together we are building change.
Alex
