On X/Twitter earlier this week, something remarkable happened. After Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis was announced, a number of MAGA accounts began saying things like this:

Besides the fact that this is an utterly cruel thing to say about someone who’s just been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, do you see the problem? Biden wasn’t President during the Covid lockdowns. Donald Trump was. Obviously.

When other accounts swooped in with factual evidence, to remind these folks that Trump was President in 2020,...
