I testified at the Arizona State Legislature against SB1331 — a bill that would give tax breaks on investments made before 2012. That’s right — lawmakers are pushing a tax giveaway for wealthy investors based on money they made over a decade ago.

I spoke out because I believe lawmakers should focus on helping people who are struggling right now — not rewarding the wealthy for profits they made in 2011.

While families across our state are dealing with sky-high housing costs, education access, grocery bills, and health care expenses, some legislators are fighting for tax cuts that benefit people who already have more than enough.

That’s not what Arizona needs — and we can’t stay quiet.
