Look -- we all need leadership we can count on.

Not someone who says they're "concerned" about someone's actions without doing anything about them. That someone is Susan Collins, and when it was announced that Donald Trump fired his fourth Inspector General -- i.e., the government watchdogs who keep an eye on folks like him -- in just six weeks, she said simply:

"I'm concerned about the president's firing of [Inspector Generals]."

I'll be honest with you: There's historic levels of absurdity coming from this GOP-controlled White House and Senate right now. If all you can muster is an "I'm concerned" about what in ANY other year would be THE political scandal of the entire year, then maybe you should move aside and make room for someone who does more than just talk. We need someone who acts.

That's why we need Sara Gideon. She's running to replace Susan Collins, because we know that both she and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will never hold Trump accountable -- they'll just say over and over again that they're "concerned" and leave it at that.
