Tell Commissioners: No climate cuts.
[link removed]

Dear John,

Over the past decade, Multnomah County has built a national reputation for bold, justice-centered climate leadership. From cleaning up deadly diesel pollution to confronting the fossil fuel threat at the Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub, the County has delivered real wins for our communities.

But now, County Commissioners are considering massive cuts to the very programs that make this progress possible.

These cuts would slash support for:
* Clean air protections in working class and BIPOC neighborhoods
* Efforts to hold Big Oil accountable for the 2021 heat dome disaster
* Work to protect communities living near oil trains and fuel tanks
* The Climate Justice Plan, which was co-created with frontline leaders

The County is thinking of walking away from the very policies that are keeping people safe, and giving in to the same fossil fuel lobbyists trying to block climate action across the country.

We need your voice now. Tell County Commissioners: No climate cuts. ([link removed])
take action now ([link removed])

At a time when federal protections are being dismantled and climate disasters are accelerating, local governments are our last line of defense. Multnomah County must lead, not walk away from all its progress.

Thank you for meeting this moment with us.

In solidarity,

The Breach Team
