right-wing majority in the U.S. Senate just bent the knee to Donald Trump
and are voting to overturn California’s clean vehicles program.

Senate Republicans are trying to misuse a process to repeal state laws we
passed here in California to reduce vehicle emissions and protect the air
we breathe. We need to be making more progress on protecting our
environment, not moving backwards.

The Golden State has been leading the way on climate policy for decades
while Washington refused to act. Reducing emissions is essential to the
prosperity, health, and well-being of California and its families.
