The House narrowly passed the so-called “big, beautiful” budget bill that is being lauded by President Trump.

This budget will be disastrous for working families across the country. We are already facing an affordability crisis and this bill does absolutely nothing to help working families who are already living paycheck to paycheck.

The GOP’s nightmare budget includes:

215 Republicans in the House voted “YES” on these policies because they don’t care about protecting working families—only making the rich even richer with huge tax cuts.

This bill is a disaster and will lead to irreparable harm for working families. Instead of trying to lower the already rising prices, ensuring more Americans are insured, or providing food for the hungry, the GOP is showing us that they really only care about the rich.

I was elected to this position to work for you, not play politics with people’s lives. Even though the Congressional GOP is bowing down to Trump, I will not sit back and let our government destroy working families’ lives.
