Friend, the House narrowly passed the Republican spending bill this morning, and it’s as dangerous as it is extreme. Trump calls it his “big, beautiful bill” — but for working families, it’s cruel and destructive.

Our fight is far from over. We need to flood Senate inboxes with a clear message: vote NO on this harmful budget and invest in our communities instead.

If it makes its way to the president’s desk, this bill would supercharge Trump's mass deportation agenda, hand out trillions in tax breaks to billionaires, and make the deepest cuts in history to essential programs like Medicaid and SNAP food assistance.

Here are 5 ways the reconciliation bill will hurt all of us:

1) It would eliminate health coverage for approximately 14 million people.

More than 1 in 5 Americans rely on Medicaid for life-saving health care. This bill proposes cutting Medicaid by $700 billion, leaving nearly 14 million people without access to essential care.

2) It would funnel $80 billion for disappearances.

The bill allocates $80 billion to immigration enforcement, providing Trump a slush fund to abduct more students and community members.

3) It would hand out $5 trillion in tax cuts to the ultra-rich.

This proposal grants massive tax cuts to the wealthiest, while raising taxes or doing nothing for 33 million working-class households. Experts suggest it would cost taxpayers $5 trillion.

4) It would cut SNAP food assistance by more than $290 billion.

Around 1 in 8 Americans rely on SNAP for nutrition, with nearly 62 percent of recipients living in households with children. This bill proposes cutting SNAP by over $290 billion – the largest cut to SNAP benefits in history.

5) It would pour $45 billion into immigrant jails.

More than 13 times ICE’s FY24 detention budget, detention at this scale would mean horrific conditions and frequent deaths.

Friend, now, it’s up to the Senate, and senators need to hear us loud and clear: We will NOT accept a budget that funnels more money into immigration enforcement, hands tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy, and slashes health care and food assistance.
