New York Times Reports: “D.O.J Accuses Rep. LaMonia McIver of Assaulting 2 ICE Agents as Democrats Decry Charges”
Democratic Rep. LaMonica McIver is the latest target in the Republican Party’s attempts to stomp out opposition to Donald Trump’s authoritarian agenda.
She was just arrested and now faces federal charges for allegedly assaulting ICE agents during a lawful oversight visit of a migrant detention facility.
And Republicans are even threatening to expel her from Congress over it.
This isn’t just a blatant intimidation tactic by Trump’s Department of Justice, it’s a chilling sign of what the GOP will do to anyone who defies them.
And we refuse to stay silent and complicit in the face of Trump’s fascism. So we’re circulating this petition to show overwhelming resistance to Trump’s reign of terror.
