The People’s Care Agenda is a set of popular demands to meet this moment, safeguard our communities, and create a healthy future for all rooted in care, life, and abundance. It calls for our local governments to:
- Invest in schools, healthcare, and quality union jobs
- Expand sanctuary city protections
- Guarantee social safety nets
- Ensure that local officials defend our people against racist, sexist, anti-poor, anti-LGBTQ+, and anti-environment attacks
This webinar will conclude our political education series engaging grassroots movement leaders from around the world, and kick off GGJ’s People’s Care Agenda campaign!
We will hear from leaders across the country who are resisting fascist attacks, protecting their communities, and building community resilience. We will share strategies and tools to break through violence and hatred, and to advance economies rooted in care and justice.
This is the last part of our three-part webinar series. In our first webinar, In Defense of Communities, allies from Argentina, Brazil, and Mali shared strategies for organizing under repressive conditions. In our second webinar, Toward Care and Resilience, allies from Guatemala and India shared how they are advancing grassroots power and visionary solutions despite right-wing authoritarianism.
Register now to join our final webinar on June 12! Learn how you can get involved in The People’s Care Agenda and fight back against oppression in the U.S.
Thank you for joining us, and we hope to see you next month!
