Friend,

When it became clear in March that COVID-19 was going to upend life in America, Dean made the decision to suspend all fundraising efforts. He did it so that his supporters could focus on taking care of themselves, their families, and adjusting to our new normal while he focused on taking action in Congress.

Today, as the pandemic wears on and we contend with an epidemic of racial injustice, November is drawing nearer. As Dean's finance director, I know we have a lot of ground to make up if we want to mount a strong campaign through Election Day.

We want to show the strength of this campaign so we've set an ambitious goal of 500 donors before midnight Friday. Can we count you in?

Dean had a big win in Congress this month, when his Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act passed in the House and Senate and was signed into law by President Trump. And yet, that same day, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy endorsed Dean's Republican opponent.

Republicans know they held Dean's House seat for more than 50 years before we flipped it in 2018. They also know that the president lost Minnesota by just 1.5 percentage points in 2016. Now, with Trump on the ballot again, his campaign and far-right PACs are gearing up to turn Minnesota red.

Let's show them our strength in numbers. If you can, please chip in to help us reach our 500-donation goal by midnight Friday.

Thank you,

Jonah Van Why
Finance Director
