When I was a kid growing up in Laguna Pueblo, my mom had me go out to the
car. I went outside, stuck the key in the door — and broke it. Right there
in the lock!
We didn’t have a spare. No locksmith down the road. No second car in the
driveway. So my mom walked five miles to get a new key made.
That’s what life in rural New Mexico can be like. You make do. You lean on neighbors. You
walk miles no one else sees.
Donald Trump and the out-of-touch billionaires running the show in
Washington have no idea what life in rural New Mexico is like. And right
now, they’re pushing policies that will make life harder.
Trump’s tariffs are already jacking up costs. Now this morning, House
Republicans passed Trump’s tax scam that cuts health care funding like
Medicaid and slashes benefits New Mexicans rely on like SNAP. This budget
is a disaster for New Mexicans and hurts our working families.
Rural New Mexicans deserve better. [ [link removed] ]I’m running to be a governor who
fights for all of our communities. If you can, I hope you’ll pitch in
$5 to help us grow our campaign.
I understand the challenges rural New Mexico faces because I’ve lived
them.
I know what it’s like to grow up in a place where we cultivated corn in
the summer and played on the mesas until the sun went down.
I’ve watched families piece together enough to buy groceries, drive hours
for basic care, and do everything they can to hold on to their land, their
dignity, and their future.
That’s why I’ll be a governor who ensures our rural communities have a
seat at the table and a voice in shaping our future.
But if Trump and Republicans flip New Mexico red, attacks on rural
communities won’t just be coming out of Washington — they’ll also be
policies coming out of the governor’s office. We can’t let that
happen.

reach New Mexicans in every corner of the state and win this race.
