Join Us: Virtual Rally and Town Hall
|
TODAY (Monday, June 15) • 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET
Dear John,
In
the midst of a national crisis and critical demonstrations in support of racial justice, it is heartening to receive good news from the Supreme Court. All people have a right to workplaces free of discrimination.
Today's
landmark decision, which affirms protections for LGBTQ workers and is the most significant legal victory for transgender Americans in our nation's history, also affirms and supports the national trend we have already seen in response to the pandemic—our country coming together as a nation for the good of the nation.
Join us in celebrating this moment and preparing for our next fight at a virtual rally and town hall tonight at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET, respectively.
During the rally and town hall, we'll gather together as a community and hear from experts providing analysis of today's opinion, how it will affect our lives, and what still needs to be done.
This ruling will allow millions of people to work with the respect, dignity, and increased job security that they deserve. The work is far from over, though.
We need Congress to pass the Equality Act, and our country must address the racism that perpetuates discrimination and violence against Black people and people of color, including those who are LGBTQ, to ensure that all individuals receive the full measure of equality guaranteed to them under the Constitution.
Thank you,
Winnie Stachelberg
Executive Vice President for External Affairs
