Good morning Young Democrats,

I hope you are excited as I am for our upcoming 2025 CYD Convention presented by Toni Atkins for Governor 2026, Xavier Becerra for Governor 2026, Pechanga Band of Indians and AirBNB taking place in Anaheim starting May 30, 2025! We are expecting over 400 Young Democrats from across California to attend, which will make this the largest CYD event in many years! CYD extended the Regular Registration rate of $60 per person through today, Thursday, May 22nd, so register now ([link removed]) before late registration starts and prices increase to $75.

Confirmed guest speakers, with more to come, include:
* Candidates for Governor, former President pro Tem of the California State Senate Toni Atkins, and former California Attorney General and United States Health & Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra;
* Candidates for Lieutenant Governor, California State Treasurer Fiona Ma and former Mayor of Stockton Michael Tubbs;
* Assemblymember Patrick Ahrens (District 26, Sunnyvale) and Assemblymember Jessica Caloza (District 52, Los Angeles);

Emerge California - 2026 open application season starting June 3rd

Now, more than ever, we need to advocate for women in the current political landscape, and we need your help. At Emerge California, their work continues in earnest to recruit, train, and support women candidates to build the Democratic bench in our state. Are you interested in Emerge California’s 2026 program? LAST DAY: CYD CHAPTER & CAUCUS CHARTERING PAST DUE! All Young Democrats chapters and caucuses in California must be properly chartered with the California Young Democrats to be eligible to vote in CYD elections and meetings. CYD has extended the 2025 CYD Open Chartering Period one last time prior to our 2025 Convention to make sure all chapters and caucuses are able to fully participate. All returning and new chapters must submit their respective chartering information and documents for 2025 no later than TODAY, Thursday, May 22, 2025.
