John—The GOP is coordinating an all-out attack on mifepristone right now.

Here's how it went down:

1. In late April, FDA Commissioner Martin Makary said in a hearing he had no plans to take action on restricting mifepristone, but he would reconsider if there was new data to suggest a safety issue.


2. Days later, a Project 2025 sponsor organization published a junk science, so-called "study" filled with anti-abortion lies about mifepristone.


3. Senator Josh Hawley then used that pseudo-study to introduce a bill in Congress that would ban the mailing of mifepristone.

The most alarming action happened last week: RFK Jr. announced he asked FDA Commissioner Makary to conduct a "complete review" of mifepristone.

Mifepristone is one of the safest medications on the market, backed by decades of scientific evidence and used by millions of patients for abortion and miscarriage care.

This is all coordinated. It's not a coincidence each of these events happened one after another. The GOP plan is to leverage anti-abortion junk science to ban mifepristone, thus amounting to a national abortion ban—their ultimate goal.
