Early this morning, the House of Representatives passed a budget reconciliation bill that contains a GOA-backed amendment which completely removes suppressors from the National Firearms Act (NFA).

That means:

This is a battle GOA has fought for over many years, and today we took a giant leap forward. But the fight is NOT over.

We’re continuing to push for the full delisting of SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs—so that anti-gun presidents like Joe Biden can never again weaponize the NFA against law-abiding Americans.

But now that GOA-backed language delisting suppressors is officially in Trump’s reconciliation bill, it’s heading to the Senate. And that’s where your help is needed more than ever.

I hope you will understand just how critical the support of GOA members has been in getting us this far.

Earlier this month, we had to pressure the House Ways & Means Committee to slash the suppressor transfer tax in their version of the reconciliation bill.

Then, we had to move mountains to get the Rules Committee to include a complete removal of suppressors from the NFA in their draft. That was no easy lift.

At every step, GOA was mobilizing grassroots phone calls and holding constant meetings with key members of Congress to make sure the GOA-backed language made it into Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”—and that it stayed there.

But this is just what we’ve accomplished in the past month. Think about everything it took to get us to this point:

• GOA met with Speaker Mike Johnson back in January, pushing for reconciliation as a tool to dismantle the NFA. Why reconciliation? Because it means there will be no Senate filibuster—we can go straight to a floor vote.
• We convinced congressmen to add the GOA-backed language onto the reconciliation bill. But this progress would not have happened without tens of thousands of calls from grassroots activists like you.
• Plus, gun rights leaders like Rep. Andrew Clyde stood strong, as he kept fighting behind the scenes to make sure the pro-gun language was included in the bill.

We also teamed up with some of the biggest YouTube voices in the Second Amendment community. Multiple channels rallied their audiences and made your voices impossible to ignore.

But here’s the bottom line: SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs are still on the table—and we can’t afford to leave this job half-finished.
