Hi John,

I hope you can join us at 3pm Eastern for our rally Stop Trump’s Judges: Protect Our Health Care and Our Rights. We’re fighting back against two of Trump’s most egregious anti-health care, anti-civil rights judges: Justin Walker and Cory Wilson.

RSVP and tune in to the rally here.

Stop Trump's Judges: Protect Our Health Care and Our Rights Digital Rally

John,

Instead of answering the urgent cries to address racial injustice or the COVID-19 crisis threatening our health and lives, Senate Republicans are fast-tracking two judicial nominees who would dismantle civil rights protections, gut health care protections, and support unchecked executive power: Justin Walker and Cory Wilson.

We’re (virtually) rallying on Monday, June 15th at 3pm ET to Stop Trump’s Judges: Protect Our Health Care and Our Rights. Join us to hear from Senators Chuck Schumer, Mazie Hirono, and Bob Casey; AFJ President Nan Aron; and a breadth of progressive groups about why we must #StopWalker and #StopWilson.

D.C. Circuit nominee Justin Walker is expected to get a confirmation vote next week. He called the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act “catastrophic” and praised Brett Kavanaugh for writing the “roadmap” for courts to overturn it. He supports unchecked executive power and will erode civil rights protections– a position made even more dangerous by Trump’s continued efforts to attack all who are fighting for Black lives.

Fifth Circuit nominee Cory Wilson called the Affordable Care Act "indefensible" and "perverse," and supported Republican voter suppression efforts, including voter roll purges and voter ID requirements. Wilson's record is particularly concerning in light of Republicans' recent attempts to use the COVID-19 crisis to undermine our ability to vote.
Our courts must provide and promote justice, not be used as instruments to dismantle our health care and civil rights protections.

RSVP here to join the June 15th rally to #StopWilson and #StopWalker.
