Fellow activist,

Did you hear the news? Using the same election-denying messaging that they used to justify the January 6 insurrection, Republicans are once again working to rally their MAGA base to gain a majority on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court this November.

According to WHYY News, in a speech to a group in Erie, a Republican activist stated, “They allowed and engineered the stolen election here in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” referring to the three Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justices who were elected as Democrats and are seeking to retain their seats in November. “If you want justice, if you want accountability, if you want to reshape Pennsylvania, you vote no to these people.”

It’s more critical than ever that we ensure our courts are fair and independent. These races are a TOP priority for the Republican party so they can continue to push the Trump regime's backwards agenda on our nation. Help us prepare for the fight ahead by pitching in a MATCH contribution today →

Here’s the deal: If MAGA is successful with their anti-retention campaign, the PA Supreme Court could have three vacancies until the Governor is able to appoint and confirm their replacements (unlikely as this would require support from Republicans in the PA Senate) or until the next judicial election in 2027.

Their goal? Having a Republican majority PA Supreme Court before the next presidential election in 2028.

NPP CEO Kadida Kenner said it best: a MAGA Majority would lead to voter suppression and a restriction on our freedoms, including reproductive rights. Our courts would just become another political tool instead of a critical check and balance, and it’s up to us to ensure that doesn’t happen. As Kadida mentions, justices should be retained by the standard that they were “following the letter of the law and they were making determinations based upon the Pennsylvania state Constitution,” rather than based on political affiliations.”

This is critical, in light of this news, we have extended the match opportunity provided by a generous angel donor who agreed to match all donations up to $50,000. Will you rush a doubled donation now to support our critical voter education and mobilization work ahead of this year’s judicial elections? ([link removed]
