Dear Friends, 

After 28 hours of debate in the Rules Committee and House floor, I just left the Capitol. House Republicans voted to pass their tax plan by one vote – a bill that will cut funding for programs like Medicaid and SNAP nutrition benefits, in order to pay for tax cuts likely to disproportionately benefit the wealthy. 

Our virtual discussion with the entire Connecticut House delegation will be rescheduled soon. Stay tuned for updates.
