Dear John,


Not long ago, Rufus was on the brink of death. He was suffering from emaciation and anemia brought on by parasites—and would have died without immediate intervention.


Thankfully, our friends at Odd Man Inn Animal Refuge in Tennessee stepped in to help. They rushed Rufus to a veterinarian, who gave him an emergency blood transfusion and plenty of rest time.


After two months of care, we brought Rufus to our Southern California sanctuary, where he reunited with his best friends Marzipan, Junco, and Kazoo. In a heartwarming moment, they gathered around Rufus to welcome him. Now, every day is an adventure for this bonded trio!
