New Zealand First Pragmatism stands out in the Government
Budget.

horseplay – Budget 2025 demonstrates New Zealand First
pragmatism. Initiatives that
will make a real difference for kiwis.

co-investment fund to unlock natural gas in New Zealand, Over $600m

invest and grow.

country

Care.
Budget Day is a set piece event on
the political calendar and presents an opportunity for the Government
to chart our nation’s course.
And your party, New Zealand First, brings real-world
experience with a focus on practical policies that work. We bring
plain common sense.

We bring the fight to ideological
radicals such as the Greens and Te Pati Maori – no more virtue
signalling, no more fiscal lolly scrambles or fairy-tale
idealism.
We are proud of what we’ve achieved
in Budget 2025 – our party is delivering real growth opportunities,
defending our borders, targeted business support, and backing our
seniors.
Our Ministers have knocked it out
of the park when it comes to hard-nosed government
delivery.
The
Hon Shane Jones delivered our Budget 2025 response where he
said:
"There's nothing wrong with aspiring to become
wealthy. The Left stood against that. There's
absolutely nothing wrong with teaching our children to stand up and by
the sweat of the eyebrow, look after yourselves."
Shane Jones secured $200m for the
Crown to invest in new gas fields - essential for energy security,
energy prices, and economic growth.
“If we really want to address the current reality that we rely on
imported coal, not domestic gas, to get through winter we must be
prepared to stand alongside our petroleum sector as a co-investor. I
say to my colleagues across the political spectrum, for the sake of
energy affordability and security, be pragmatic about the role of
natural gas, now and in the coming decades.”

Casey Costello secured wins for
Seniors, Customs, and Associate Police roles.
"We want to ensure older New Zealanders can get the treatment and
care they need in the best possible place."

Every one of our team fights for
our values and lives by our name, New Zealand First.
We are fighting for our nation. We
are fighting for you.
There is much more to come and with
your continued support there is much more we can do.
