John,

As Pope Leo XIV begins sketching out what his papacy might bring, we look back at what will certainly be part of Pope Francis' legacy: emphasizing the moral obligation of all Christians and people of goodwill to care for our common home. That message was made explicitly clear 10 years ago, upon the publication of his encyclical Laudato Si'.

From May 24 to May 31, we unite with people around the world to celebrate Laudato Si' Week. Join our Laudato Si' Week campaign to receive short text messages with quotes from the document, moments of prayer, and ways to live Laudato Si’ in your daily life.

Integral ecology is a core issue area for ISN, and we are thrilled to co-organize the Jesuit Integral Ecology Assembly this summer on the campus of Loyola University Chicago. We celebrate the youth who participated in our first-ever Student Ecology Summit, as well as the hundreds of California youth who converged at their state Capitol as part of the nationwide “Pilgrimages of Hope for Creation” campaign. The work for ecological justice and indigenous solidarity was also on display at the Northwest Ignatian Advocacy Summit.

Last but not least, Education for Justice members can access the first publication of the EFJ Blog titled "Justice in Jeopardy: Environmental Rollbacks and the Faithful Response."

In solidarity,
