Tom Rost’s nearly seven-year legal battle has come to a close in a shocking way…

Tom Rost’s journey to the U.S. Supreme Court started in 2013. That year, one of Tom’s employees, a male funeral director at Harris Funeral Homes, expressed the intent to violate the company’s sex-specific dress code and begin dressing and presenting as a woman at work.
Tom and the employee parted ways.
And it wasn’t long before the former employee filed a complaint against Tom. The complaint triggered a lawsuit that garnered extensive national coverage at the U.S. Supreme Court over the definition of the word “sex” in a federal employment law.
