Kristi Noem wants to take away "Habeas Corpus," but she doesn't even know
what it is!

In a viral exchange that might have been funny if it wasn't so goddamn
serious, Kristi Noem told the Senate, under oath, that "Habeas Corpus" was
the president's right to deport whoever they want.

Not even close.

"Habeas Corpus" is a fundamental legal principle that states an American
cannot be unlawfully detained.

It's the bedrock of American freedom, a shield against tyranny, that gives
Americans the right to a court hearing before the government can charge
them for a crime.

But Kristi Noem and her MAGA mob don't care about the facts or the
Constitution: in their world, King Trump has the right to arrest whoever
he wants, lock immigrants in cages, and even deport American citizens with
no due process.
