Hi John -- Jacob and I just reviewed a new poll by GSG, the best pollsters in New York, that shows our race is getting close. Our last set of polling had me down by 22 points in March, but our aggressive paid communications strategy has brought us within two points.
We knew our biggest obstacle in this race would be overcoming low name recognition. Thanks to you and this growing grassroots momentum, we’ve put our ads in front of tens of thousands of voters, and now I’m just as well known as my opponent.
Voters know who I am, and they know my background. We are working now to make sure they know about my proven track record of leadership. If we can continue reaching undecided voters with our TV and digital ad spots, my pro-science message can propel us to victory in just one week.
The new data show that our strategy is working, but with just a few days left until the primary, we need to invest more into our efforts to secure our win.
