Reese Hogan Screwed Out Of CIF Recognition After Man Out-Jumps Her In Girls Competition

Sacramento Democrats continue to let down women athletes by allowing biological males to compete in girl-only competitive sports, as seen at the CIF Southern Section Finals last weekend. Reese Hogan of Crean Lutheran High School set a school record in the triple jump but was surpassed by a transgender athlete (biological male, identifying as female) from Jurupa Valley High School by over four feet. Hogan's symbolic action—standing atop the podium following the ceremony—earned her applause as the "true champion." She and others were forced to remove "Protect Girls Sports" shirts at prelims, facing veiled threats of CIF official disqualification. This is not equality; it's a betrayal of hard-working girls in training, only to be met with an unequal advantage. California and Newsom place ideology over fairness, and female athletes are relegated to the sidelines. The CIF, already in Title IX review, must take action to save girls' sports. To quote women’s rights in athletics advocate Riley Gaines,

“Congratulations to Reese Hogan, the real champion in yesterday's triple jump at CIF Southern Section Finals. She set a new PR and school record. The boy standing atop the podium holding up a 'number 1' is a fraud enabled by @CIFSS, @CA_Dem, & @CAgovernor.”

Senator Cervantes' DUI Makes A Trend: Dems Pass Laws, But Don’t Obey Them

Capitol Democrats utilize government power to boss us around yet act like our rules do not apply to them. State Sen. Sabrina Cervantes' DUI citation in Sacramento last night is a stark example of this hubris. According to Politico, she crashed, left the scene, and was cited for driving under the influence—but claims she did nothing wrong, citing hospital tests clearing her. Other Democrats repeat this hubris. In 2023, then-Assemblymember Wendy Carrillo struck parked cars in the rear in Los Angeles, arrested on suspicion of DUI with twice the threshold. She pleaded no contest, blaming a sneeze—a weak excuse. Sen. Dave Min was arrested for DUI in Sacramento in the same year, running a red light. After facing such backlash, he was given three years' probation and compelled to remove a tweet in defense of his actions. These lawmakers insist on special treatment we'd never get, weakening trust.

Santa Ana's School Board Fiasco: Liberals' Fiscal Irresponsibility Results In Mass Layoffs

The Santa Ana Unified School Board's decision on Monday to lay off 262 teachers and staff lays the blame at the feet of the liberals in charge. Their fiscal mismanagement resulted in a $180 million deficit, necessitating reductions that will lead to packed classrooms and cuts to student mental health services. Board President Hector Bustos blames past trustees, but he and his liberal allies indulged in a structural deficit for years by expending $400 million in COVID relief on unaffordable personnel. Now, students suffer. Enrollment has dropped 10,000 from 2018 to 19, from 47,000 to 36,000, as families flee Santa Ana's worsening quality of life. The population in the city has declined by nearly 20,000 since 2019, mainly due to skyrocketing rents and liberal density policies that have been exacerbated. Fewer students mean less state funding, making the crisis even more dire. These board members need to be held accountable for their lack of competence. Families need fiscal responsibility and a secure future for their children, not ideological fantasies.
