Fellow Young Dems,

We hope that you will join us for an upcoming virtual Oakland City Council District 1, on Tuesday June 23rd at 7:00 PM, co-hosted by the Metropolitan Greater Oakland Democratic Club. We will be taking up the first in a series of endorsements for the 2020 general election.

Dan Kalb, Tri Ngo, and Stephanie Dominguez Walton will be joining us for this candidate forum, which will be structured as a good old fashioned Q&A. If you are a member of the East Bay Young Democrats, please submit your questions here.

The first city council district in Oakland spans from Temescal, located in North Oakland, centered on Telegraph Avenue, up to Bushrod, in North Oakland, centered on Shattuck Avenue, just south of Ashby BART Station in South Berkeley. You can find Zoom details on the Facebook event page, and we will also send them out here:

"I think the importance of doing activist work is precisely because it allows you to give back and to consider yourself not as a single individual who may have achieved whatever but to be a part of an ongoing historical movement."
