Republicans' latest plan to ‘Make America Great Again’? Cutting $230 million from SNAP benefits.
Let’s be clear about what this really means: Ripping away food assistance and security from families struggling to buy groceries, to give another tax giveaway to billionaires.
At a time when prices are rising across the board, from gas to rent to groceries, more and more Americans are experiencing food insecurity. That includes working families, seniors on fixed incomes, veterans, and children who rely on school meals just to get through the day.
That’s why we should be strengthening nutrition and assistance programs like SNAP, not gutting them.
I won’t stand by while Republicans rip away food assistance from those who need it most. Costs are rising, and families need to know their leaders are looking out for them, not turning our backs in their time of need.
In Congress, I’m doing everything I can to fight back and put a stop to these cuts. If you’re with me, will you add your name to our petition below?
Thanks for your support,
Jonathan Jackson
