Hi John,

This won’t surprise you, but you need to know what Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-7) is up to now that he’s in Washington D.C. And, spoiler alert, it’s not serving the best interests of Wisconsinites.

Rep. Tiffany is once again leading the charge to destroy the environment and, now, advance Trump’s extremist agenda. Tiffany signed this new letter [[link removed]] calling for full repeal of the 2022 clean energy tax credits that have created 400,000 jobs [[link removed]] nationwide over the last three years.

We’ve been educating voters about Rep. Tom Tiffany’s attacks on conservation for a long time. When he was State Rep. Tom Tiffany, he scored zeroes on our state legislative scorecard, was a leader in efforts to expand open-pit mining, and was named to the “Conservation Dishonor Roll” multiple times. In the media, he claimed it was a “badge of honor.” Last year, he continued this tradition at the national level. He received a zero percent on the LCV National Environmental Scorecard.

While destructive and divisive politicians like Tiffany try to “flood the zone” for puppetmaster Trump, we’re committed to spotlighting these attacks on our environmental progress.

Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, we’ve started manufacturing components for electric vehicles and solar panels right here in Wisconsin. Over 2,500 good paying clean energy jobs and $5.44 billion in federal incentives could be at risk. The last thing Wisconsin workers need is more economic uncertainty caused by the reckless Trump administration.

These tax benefits create jobs and have made it possible for so many Wisconsinites to install solar panels, start driving electric vehicles, and make their homes more energy efficient. Check out our video playlist and hear real stories of how people and communities across Wisconsin are benefiting from the IRA. In recent years we’ve taken meaningful steps forward to protect our environment and combat climate change. Contribute today, join me in defending the progress we all worked so hard to make.
