John,
In a minute, I'm going to ask you to chip in $3 to support my campaign for Governor. But first, I want to share a bit about my background as State Controller, and how it makes me uniquely fit to be the next Governor of California.
Between the affordability crisis, insurance companies fleeing the state, and a likely protracted budget deficit – Californians have very real questions about what the coming years will bring for our state. And in a crowded field, I am the only candidate in the race with hands-on experience managing California’s finances.
I am proud of the work my team and I did during my eight years in office, including uncovering billions of dollars of unallowed spending while still keeping the state's commitments to improving the lives of Californians.
Others may talk the talk, but I can promise you this is the campaign that can deliver real results on pocketbook issues. It will take work, work I will roll up my sleeves to do from day one as your Governor.
But running a successful campaign requires resources, and your contribution can make a significant impact in helping us spread our message and build the grassroots movement necessary to win this election.
It is crucial that our next Governor has the experience to handle costs with an eye toward real progress. Chip in $3 to support my campaign to bring deep financial know-how to the Governor’s office.
