Our healthcare system is under attack, team.
Over the past few months, we’ve seen the current administration target Medicaid funding; attack healthcare for women, special needs children, and the LGBTQ community; and impose tariffs that increase prescription drug prices. And they’re just getting started.
But in these uncertain times, I know one thing for sure: the way we get through this is with mutual aid — standing together, sharing resources, and building strong community support networks. A collective of San Diego's healthcare providers and community partners are hosting a monthly Community Health & Resource Fair to do just that. Click here to learn more → [[link removed]]

Our healthcare system has never been perfect.
There are still very real problems we need to solve, including increasing inpatient treatment facilities, lowering the barriers to mental healthcare access, reducing appointment wait times, reducing patient costs, and so much more.
From the momentum gained on affordable healthcare to increasing access to Medi-Cal services for San Diegans just last year, we’ve made tangible progress on improving our healthcare system as a whole.
However, attacks from the current administration have put all our work in jeopardy. Amidst the headline-grabbing policy announcements, abrupt rollbacks, and endless flow of smoke and mirrors we read about daily, one thing is clear: this administration is trying to make us less healthy.
That’s why it’s critical we remain laser-focused on caring for our communities. When we come together, our collective power is stronger than the politics of division and confusion.
Mutual aid events like the monthly San Diego Community Health & Resource Fair enable us to support each other through these challenging times by pooling our resources. To learn more or share this event with someone you know, click here: [link removed] [[link removed]]
