Johh,
It's been 106 years since the House passed the 19th Amendment, which, when ratified, would give women the long-overdue right to have a say in their government, regardless of their gender.
In those times of injustice, we rose up and fought against disenfranchisement. We knew that our rights as citizens of this country were not equal in the face of the law, and we understood that it was time to take a stand for the place in society we knew we deserved.
When women come together in solidarity, amazing things can be accomplished, and the 19th Amendment is a testament to that power. A power that is now, more than ever, key to defending our reproductive freedoms.
While the 19th Amendment recognizes an equal status in civil society, the ongoing wave of abortion bans and even a potential national abortion ban are setting our rights backwards. I'm not exaggerating when I say we are in the fight of our lives to protect our future and where we stand in society.
I will always be committed to the fight for reproductive freedom, including abortion. Like the activists of our past, will you take a stand with me today and tell Republicans that their time of restricting women's rights is over? >> [link removed]
Thank you,
