Last night, an overwhelming majority of the County Council voted to support our FY2026 budget ([link removed]). This is a win for everyone in Frederick County who cares about our public schools.

Together, we are investing over $508 million in our public schools, a $118 million increase - or 30% - over the past three years. We are dedicating $175 million to school construction, an $80 million - or 86% - increase over last year.

In a year with great uncertainty, we put students first and we protected core services that residents rely on. And we achieved these goals without raising taxes. To learn more about the budget visit:
