OCRA adjusts upcoming grant cycle dates

The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs today announced that, based on stakeholder feedback, adjustments have been made to the upcoming grant cycles, including the second phase of?the COVID-19 Response Program.

COVID-19 Response Phase 2

Proposals are now being accepted until 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, June 26, 2020. However, we encourage you to submit by 4 p.m. ET as there will be no technical support available after that time. Final applications are now due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, July 31, with funding awards planned for the week of August 23,2020.

Community Development Block Grant 2020 Round 2

The program will open on August 24, 2020, with proposals being accepted until 11:59 p.m. ET on September 24. However, we encourage you to submit by 4 p.m. ET as there will be no technical support available after that time. Final applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on November 20, with funding awards planned for December 17, 2020.

Additionally, the suspension of the Main Street Revitalization Program and Public Facilities Program will continue. Therefore, only Wastewater/Drinking Water and Stormwater Improvement Program applications will be accepted for Round 2. OCRA will reevaluate the suspended programs for 2021 Round 1.

Planning and Blight Clearance Grants

The temporary suspension of the planning grant program will end this fall and open for applications in August 2020, with a number of minor adjustments. Applications will now be accepted quarterly, with a third quarter deadline of September 15, and awards will be announced around the beginning of October. Fourth quarter applications will be due by October 15, with awards announced at the beginning of November.

The Blight Clearance Program will also remain suspended through the end of 2020.

Additional information on program adjustments will be announced in the coming weeks and will include a public comment period.?
