While Donald Trump, JD Vance, and the far-right are waging an attack against our democracy, New York is standing strong and leading the way forward.

As Governor, I am working hard to protect and expand voting rights in New York. I’ve passed legislation to make ballots easier to understand, to strengthen our state’s landmark John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act, and to expand absentee ballot access for young voters, all with one goal in mind — making it easier for every New Yorker to vote.

Because our democracy depends on it.

In our recent priorities survey, the number one issue on people’s minds was democracy and justice. I hear you — and I’m acting.

D.C. Republicans are attacking our pro-voter laws in court. They’re trying to restrict access to the ballot box. And they’re still trying to drag us backward.

I won’t back down — and I hope you won’t either.
