My heart aches for children and families in Gaza. The U.N. warns that starvation is imminent for thousands following nearly three months of a blockade on all humanitarian aid. Despite the recent entrance of five aid trucks, the situation remains dire and precious lives are at stake.
Our teams on the ground are doing everything they can to save lives. Many of the patients we're treating have serious injuries that require immediate surgery - but increasingly, we're seeing patients, especially children, suffering from severe malnutrition as well.

This crisis is even more dire than a food shortage, Friend. Because of recent federal funding cuts, all of Project HOPE's lifesaving work in Gaza is at risk. Our health workers are working around the clock to provide care to malnourished children, pregnant women, and sick civilians, but without additional funding, we will soon be forced to close our doors.
At the same time, many of our staff are displaced themselves, but they continue to show up and serve - because they know they may be the last lifeline for a family in crisis.
