Members of the LGBTQ+ community aren't asking for any special treatment. They’re asking for the most basic human right to live their lives authentically, safely, and with dignity.

But right now, Donald Trump and extreme Republicans aren’t interested in protecting that fundamental right. Instead, they’re working harder than ever to roll back LGBTQ+ rights and they’re targeting our transgender youth.

Brittany Pettersen believes that every person should be treated with the respect they deserve, regardless of who they are or who they love.

That’s why she just joined her colleagues in re-introducing the Equality Act, which would protect LGBTQ+ individuals from discrimination in employment, housing, and all areas of public life.

If you want to see Congress pass this life-saving legislation, add your name alongside Brittany’s as a Citizen Co-Sponsor of the Equality Act.

Here in Colorado, we’re fortunate to live in a state where the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community are protected by law — where we celebrate our differences rather than vilify each other for them.

And it’s in part because of Brittany’s hard work in the State Legislature that we got here.

Brittany has been fighting for equal rights for her entire career, and she won’t back down in Congress as Trump continues to threaten and target the LGBTQ+ community. And she knows our work doesn’t stop in Colorado.

Brittany is fighting for the Equality Act because it will protect the rights and dignity of LGBTQ+ Americans in all 50 states.

Join Brittany in the fight for equality by adding your name as a Citizen Co-Sponsor of this historic civil rights legislation:
