The gunman that murdered 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary was 18 years old. He illegally obtained the weapons he used to wreak havoc on this community and instead of taking action to stop the next attack, lawmakers want to lower the legal age to carry a handgun.

We should be raising the age to carry deadly weapons — not lowering it. But dangerous bills like this aren’t just being introduced in Texas. They’re spreading across the country.

And now, the Trump administration is permitting the sale of forced-reset triggers (FRT), devices that allow for semi-automatic rifles to fire quicker. The effects of this decision are catastrophic and undoubtedly pave the way for more mass shootings. It’s up to all of us to fight back to protect our kids and stop the next tragedy.
