Most of the big banks have already built the infrastructure for a digital economy, one in which your entire financial history is monitored.

But when the CBDC – essentially government “oversight” of your money – is implemented, Big Brother will monitor and control everything you buy.

A recent working paper by the International Monetary Fund suggests cash might simply disappear from our society entirely when – and if – the CBDC becomes mainstream.

So even if you wouldn't choose to switch, society would effectively coerce you to.

That's why Congress needs to ban the CBDC now. Not years from now – immediately.

The CBDC is a programmable digital currency. It cannot operate without pegging every user to a digital identity, meaning every one of your purchases is automatically, invariably tracked.

And your banking transactions can be controlled remotely, so taxes and fines could automatically be taken out of your accounts, or restrictions could be placed on what you could buy, where you could buy it, and when.

In fact, last year the IMF published a brief acknowledging CBDCs could be used for state surveillance. They also pose risks to your privacy and cybersecurity.

But while the threat of the CBDC looms larger as the banksters at the Fed quietly lay the groundwork for its implementation, Congress is sitting on its hands.

You see, the Fed technically can’t implement a CBDC without congressional approval. But as you and I know all too well, Congress has ceded much of it’s power over the years. And it wasn’t too long ago when Joe Biden was in the White House and his administration gave the green light on investigating the implementation of a CBDC.

So until Congress slams on the brakes, the reality of a CBDC is real.

And yet House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) still hasn't scheduled the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act – which would BAN the CBDC – for a vote.

With 135 cosponsors, there's plenty of Republican support. But Congress still isn't acting – and they won’t unless you and I push them to.

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has come right out and said: the Central Bank Digital Currency would be “identity verified” and “not anonymous.”

Imagine the government knowing what you buy and being able to punish you for it.
