The U.S. Constitution explicitly states that the power to regulate elections belongs to the states and Congress, not the President. However, that hasn’t stopped President Donald Trump from attempting to unilaterally impose sweeping voting restrictions through an executive order.
Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown is joining 19 other attorneys general in filing a motion to block Trump’s executive order from taking effect and disenfranchising millions of eligible voters, including thousands of Maryland voters.

If this executive order moves forward, Maryland and states across the country will be forced to deny voter registration applications without proof of citizenship and discard mail-in ballots if they were sent before Election Day but were received after, or they will risk losing federal funding.
The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy, and Anthony Brown is fighting to ensure that every Marylander is able to cast their ballot and make their voice heard—but he needs your help.
Can Anthony count on you to join the fight by chipping in anything you can today?
