Real Virginians will suffer if Republicans get their way.

Friend,

While we slept last week, House Republicans advanced a bill that could rip health care away from over 260,000 of our neighbors right here in Virginia.

They’re calling it a “big, beautiful bill.” But let’s be real: this is a $625 billion attack on Medicaid, and it’s nothing short of cruel.

We need your help to fight back, friend. It’s up to us to stand up for our neighbors whose lives depend on Medicaid. Will you chip in to help us protect access to affordable healthcare?

If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Virginia Democrats in Congress are trying to stop it. Rep. Jennifer McClellan (VA-4) didn’t sleep for 36 hours as she fought through a 25-hour Energy and Commerce Committee hearing on this bill, which would impose needless work requirements on people already fighting to survive.

Trump and his Republican allies want to force Virginians to jump through hoops just to stay insured — or worse, kick them off coverage entirely. If they succeed, hospitals will absorb the cost, emergency rooms will overflow, and taxpayers will be left footing the bill.

This is Republican governance, friend: Working people left behind without a second thought. We can’t have that in Virginia — and we’re fighting around the clock to elect strong, Democratic leadership this year. But we need your help. Please, rush a donation of $15 to help us defend Medicaid and elect Democrats who will protect our care.

This isn’t just about budgets. It’s about lives, dignity, and who we are as a Commonwealth.

Thank you,

– Virginia Democrats
