John –

It's the target far-right Republicans have been after for years: Big Bird, Elmo, Bert and Ernie.

Trump's executive order would defund NPR and PBS – unilaterally cutting off all federal funding for the arts, news, and kids programming we grew up watching, our own kids watched, and now, our grandkids enjoy.

Completely free and accessible to all and has been beloved by kids and parents since it debuted decades ago.

So let's be clear about why he's doing this: he wants to shut down reporting he doesn't like.

NPR and PBS are middle-of-the-road news agencies that report the facts with journalistic integrity. They're also one of the largest sources of local news – something the mainstream media has been cutting back on for years – making this free service online, on television, and on the radio all the more important.

But we can stand up and stop these authoritarian actions by winning back a strong majority in the House. Will you join me in that fight?

They're not cracking down on fake news or propaganda. Trump hates NPR and PBS because he can't control them and he can't profit from them. Public radio and public television are for everybody.

Let's save NPR and PBS and put a stop to this destructive agenda. Will you make a $3 contribution today and help flip the House blue?
