And yet, within hours of the announcement, MAGA media influencers—including Donald Trump and Elon Musk—began spreading baseless conspiracies, tasteless jokes, and lies.
It was grotesque. And revealing.

- Don Jr. made a tasteless “joke” accusing Dr. Jill Biden of “missing” a made-up stage five cancer diagnosis.
- Ronny Jackson, Trump’s former doctor, claimed Biden’s White House physician covered up Biden’s diagnosis for political reasons.
- Elon Musk tweeted a conspiracy theory to millions that the diagnosis was hidden so Democrats could win the White House and hand power to Kamala Harris.
- Trump himself suggested—without evidence—that Biden delayed sharing his diagnosis, and implied someone was “not telling the facts.”
- And far-right influencers from Benny Johnson to Laura Loomer are calling the cancer diagnosis “a cover-up” and “the biggest presidential scandal in history.”
Of course, they are completely ignoring the fact that Biden released detailed records and medical statements.
They don’t care. It’s about power and doubling down on cruelty.
