June 2020 CPL Report
Total Michigan CPL numbers fell to 665,876 as of June 1, 2020 erasing six months of growth. The three factors impacting this were the suspension of most CPL classes during the first wave of COVID-19, the inability for new applicants to apply for licenses, and CPL renewals being viewed as discretionary spending by those who have been put out of work as a result of Stay Home. Based on strong class numbers in recent weeks and the reopening of many county clerks offices, we expect that number to rebound to record highs over the coming two months. Last weekend, for example, MCRGO instructors certified an all-time record high number of students since the training program began in July 2016. The full report can be read HERE.
