Hey, it’s Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro with an important promise: No matter what tricks extremist politicians try to pull in the weeks and months ahead, my fellow Democratic governors and I will continue to stand up and speak out on behalf of our values, to fight for real freedom and real opportunity, and to Get. When extremism took over Washington in January, everything was put in jeopardy.

From day one, divisive politicians got to work trying to dismantle our education system, threaten seniors’ Social Security, and jack up the cost of living for all Americans. Trump’s tariffs represented the single largest tax hike on working families in American history and they’re the dumbest economic decision I have seen a president make. And now, they’re proposing massive, detrimental cuts to Medicaid that would jeopardize life saving health care for not just millions of Pennsylvanians, millions all over the country.

Which is why Democratic governors across the country know we have no choice but to fulfill our duty as the last line of defense and not back down when the federal government chooses to abandon their responsibilities. We’re even suing the Trump administration when the rule of law isn’t being followed.

After the Trump Administration’s unlawful decision to revoke over $200 million for school districts and education entities across Pennsylvania – which put the fundamental rights of Pennsylvanians in jeopardy, we sued them, and we won. This is one more victory to add to our growing list of court wins against the Trump administration.

Once again, we refused to let their blatant federal overreach go unchallenged.
