Dear John,
Just a few weeks ago, we asked you to contact your Representative in the House about protecting international conservation funding, we now need you to turn your attention to your Senators.
The President's proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year would significantly reduce or completely eliminate funding for several critical conservation programs. In the past, Congress has rejected attempts to cut programs that support conservation efforts around the world, even passing bills to increase some areas of funding. Just as the House has been considering these issues, the Senate must now demonstrate its commitment to global conservation programs. |

Thanks for contacting your Congressmembers earlier this year in support of US foreign assistance programs. We need you to take the next step and ask your Senators to support several sign-on letters circulating in the Senate right now. The sign-on letters in the Senate have deadlines in a matter of days and need your Senators’ attention today.
Here’s how you can take action. It’ll take less than 5 minutes. Fill out your information, so we can locate your Senators Add a personal note to the pre-written messages about why you care about US funding for conservation Ask your Senators to sign onto the letters before their deadlines

International conservation programs protect iconic species like elephants and support sustainable livelihoods. We can’t afford to cut funding for these programs.
Thanks in advance for helping protect wildlife, habitats, and communities worldwide. |
